More often than not, BYU's realistic ceiling as a P4 will be about 8 wins. That
is the historic reality for all but a handful of blue-blooded programs at this level.
There will be occasional seasons where we'll have a chance to win more, but also some unavoidable down cycles like last season.
7-8 is the average realistic number for most above-average power teams, and that will likely be the case regardless of who's on the coaching staff.
The fact that the probabilities are already trending towards us getting 6-7 wins this year a good sign, IMO.
