QB would, but he’s probably too young for that. I would have him run more crossing routes, they will eventually get free.

I like these two routes a lot. They’re more timing, but once you get the hang of it, they work really well. Tell him to throw these routes as soon as the WR gets to the point in the route I circled, before they make the cut. It helps if you run it to the far side of the field, with more space.
