Normally, I would not. Wyoming has been pretty good recently, and a game against BYU would not outweigh winning the conference championship, securing a bowl opportunity, etc.

After a couple games, none of those things appear to be on the table for the pokes this year. This is their shot at delivering something for themselves, and for their fans on which this team can hang its hat.

I expect them to pull out all the stops and play with a lot of emotion. We need to take the air out of the balloon for their fans early.

I also think it’s a game we should win. I’ll be surprised if Vegas does not prove to be reasonably close in its prediction this week.
