Jake beat Gerry during fall camp. Sure. But isn’t that because he had virtually
0 turnovers in spring and fall camp? Of course he had to be moving the ball too but that was the big change.
In other words, coaches thought he had turned a corner.
When he turned the ball over multiple times at SMU, that appeared to be a regression to the mean given his historical numbers.
