Make sure it hasn't been in an accident, get the Carfax from dealer. Make sure no paint or body work done. Could get a mechanic to check everything, make sure mechanically sound.

Others who like Toyotas and Hondas have mentioned might not be the best car to buy, you'll have to decide on that.

I looked the car up on the dealer auctions and the price at $25K is reasonable. Always can try to negotiate even lower but financially not a bad deal now. Don't let the dealer get away with any back end addon's. Just pay the $25K plus dealer doc fee, tax and license. Don't need the other stuff.
