kalifi Meus pronomen est Dominus
The person speaking says today in my time reference (PT) it happened today.
If we did it based on where the game took place and their time I would always be saying, “The All Blacks beat Australia tomorrow by a score of 45-16.” We would be speaking of something that has happened in the past but is tomorrow???

Bottom line it might have been yesterday for some of you (technically) but it’s still today for me (technically). That’s why I added the wink in my first reply. 😉
