It’s good you don’t think individuals are trash for simply swearing. But,
swearing vs using one of the worst generic insults to a much smaller group of individuals that you’re supposed to be “hosting” is hivemind bully behavior going beyond simple trash-talking over the sport.
Plus, it’s not very creative. At least come up with something of substance that relates to the sport. Make fun of their play on the field all you want, but not a mindless “F you” which basically just dehumanizes them beyond the sport, and therefore is trashy.
FWIW in NO WAY, would I defend the BYU student section chanting that to Utah.
