27 points (3 TDs and 2 FGs instead of 5 FGs) and we had scored another FG and TD to make a final score of 30-27, would there be the same amount of lamenting?

Basically, would we be happier if the defense wasn't quite as good but the offense performed better and the margin of victory is the same?

I ask because it seems as so many fans here are more concerned with how we look when we win than they are about the fact that we won. I know our offense didn't look great yesterday and I was just as frustrated as others about some of the poor decision making, bad throws, etc. and ineptitude at times. But at the end of the day, we won the game but if I didn't know that, I would have assumed we got curb stomped by SMU based on the tone of this board today.
