As a fan I’m susceptible to polarized thinking, extrapolating the results of one game on the rest of a season. But watching today I’m just grateful we won. It’s easy to lose.

It’s clear our offense has real issues, but I came away impressed with SMUs D line. They’ve got some athletes with real size. You can see they benefitted from the transfer portal on the back of their ACC entrance. Football is a game of matchups and if a team has the personnel to take away key parts of your offense then you’re going to struggle. But I know Wyoming, for example, doesn’t have the athletes to do what SMU did. And as I watch the rest of the big 12 teams, I’m not terrified of anyone. I think we are more likely to make a bowl than miss out.
