BYU is like a company that crushes qtrly earnings and their stock still plummets
It happens all of the time in business. A company far exceeds their quarterly expectations, but their stock price still drops. Why? Because the market lacks confidence in their future.
That's what's happening right now for me and why it's hard to follow half the board who are telling us to savor the win. Yes, we won and I'm happy. Yes, the defense had an elite performance that I expect to continue. The problem is our overall performance yesterday speaks to our future and that future does not look bright:

- We lack confidence in our QB
- We lack confidence in our RBs
- We lack confidence in our play calling
- We lack confidence in our special teams
- We lack confidence in our kicking game

This speaks to what the future holds, and I am scared. So while I am happy for the win, it doesn't mean the BYU stock is a buy. I was savoring the wins last year at the beginning of the season when we lucked our way into wins. They don't excite me the same way now when all I can see are glaring holes I don't know if our coaching staff has the ability to fill. I hope I am wrong, but I've been through this before...
