It's the little things though that add up to big differences...
...like his sloppy throwing mechanics, he lives throwing the ball from different arm angles, gets him attention as tv announcers gush "ooh! Ahh! Different arm angles" but i watched several of his side arm throws get to the receiver slightly off target yesterday and in a few of them it forced the receiver to adjust and turn back a little to make the catch which interrupted his momentum and allowed the defender time to close in and make a play.

One example was a throw to the RB out in the flat yesterday. We needed a few yards for the 1st down. Instead of making a normal throwing motion over the top of the pass rusher and leading the RB, JR threw side-armed, it was off target, to the side and behind the RB which forced him to turn a little and adjust his route very slightly to the poorly thrown ball. Instead of catching it in stride and beating the defender to the corner, turning upheld for a decent YAC and moving the chains this allowed the defender time to close and make the tackle short of the line to gain.

He had a number of throws like that where he didn't need to throw it side-armed but did anyways and it allowed the D to make plays or resulted in incomplete/errant throws. At least 2 of his side armed were over the top of the DL yet due to the lower trajectory they were able to bat the balls down.

This is like 2012 again where our defense is going above and beyond to keep us in games while our sloppy careless gunslinger QB is turning the ball over and digging deep holes for the team.
