All the ARod supporters are noticeably quiet this morning.

For my money, ARod tries to be too cute. Game plan always includes a few trick plays and plays that require some sort of hurry up and surprise the defense.

Sometimes the trick plays work. I’ll give you that. But how many times we gonna watch hurry up plays that confuse the offense more than the defense. They rarely, rarely work.

The biggest feeling I get watching ARods offense if no rhythm. By all reports we have a very talented deep receiver and TE corp, but ARod is so busy working the ball to the outside that the TEs are forgotten and virtually no passes happen to the WR down the middle.

KS got himself a real problem…fans know when coaches need to be terminated before he does.

His other problem is he is so dependent on good assistants that when they start to fail he has no idea how to make corrections.

Good CEOs don’t always make great hiring decisions. I’ll admit hiring is very difficult…ya don’t really know until a person has worked a few months, but when ya make a bad hire ya gotta move quickly because it pulls the entire org down! Even worse, it causes doubt in the ranks.

KW has this mastered. KS is trying so hard not to be KW, but this is one area where being a hard nosed boss matters!

Love and learn all you want…but don’t conflate that with making hard choices to send both coaches and players packing when it is not working.

Jake R should have been benched last night. You want him to start against WY, fine, but he needs the message, “These kind of mistakes cannot keep happening!”

KS should be chomping on ARod, “Get it figured out…I want to see (fill in the blank)”

Instead, what you see is KS’s frustration and a silent prayer that ARod can somehow save himself and the offense.

We shall see. Gritty, gritty defense last night. I could watch those boys play all night. Jay Hill will end up as a P4 head coach…just wonder where it will be?
