They can’t trust him to hang on to the ball and he’s erratic throwing it.
You can spend time trying to establish the QB run but the guy averaged 1.5 fumbles per game at BYU.
He also struggles with accuracy so while he does have some great throws he misses enough easy ones that the short passing game fails to sustain drives plus he’ll usually though a pick on a short pass.
His turnover woes combined with his overall game should make him unplayable unless everyone behind him is worse.
