HR was conveniently in the top five salary bands. "The Golden Rule" is definitely in effect on salaries. I think they are hated most though is because they are ultimately fake. They want to be the group that claims to be supportive of the employees and hears every employees complaints but at the end of the day they represent the company interests and will dump any employee in a second to protect the firm.
