An interesting stat to watch in tonight's game from SMU's performance in 2023:
SMU's 2023 performance reveals a team that wasn't as dominant as the metrics suggest. The Mustangs went 11-0 against Group of Five and FCS teams. The average scores in those games was 45-14 in favor of the Mustangs. In three games against P4 teams, SMU went 0-3 and the average score was 28-14. SMU's scoring output dropped 69% against P4 teams.
