Alcaraz and Djokovic crashing out early creates an opportunity for an American
to maybe win a Grand Slam tournament for the first time in a while. Either Taylor Fritz or Frances Tiafoe will play in the US Open final, most likely against Jannik Sinner. Although, I'm sure Sinner likes his odds.
The last American to win a Grand Slam was Andy Roddick 21 years ago, in the 2003 US Open. Andre Agassi also won one that year (2003 Aussie Open).
