I have been followiing BYU basketball since the days of Danny Ainge, & can confidently conclude that the recruiting caliber from Kevin Young is stellar & at an unparalleled level over the last 45 years. Impressive beyond belief. Pope did a great job
but it was quite clear that he was a short termer for the Cougs.At this point, BYU has literally pulled the rabbit out of a hat
with the current Head coach. The only unknown now remaining will not be particular to BYU, as so called superstars have simulated that the tail is now wagging the dog. University basketball has now become the minor leagues for pro basketball.
I hope thatt the NCAA can right the ship which now seems to have nobody steering it thru iceberg infested waters.
At least, short termed, I can look forward to BYU packing the Marriot Center, along with deep post season success in March Madness, which has been absent for too many seasons. Hats off to the BYU community for the coaching tradition, as this University remaiins a top 3 atmosphere for its overall committment in everthing that a student & parents could envision
for the overall development of their children. Literally an atmosphere of Heaven on Earth.
