Hallstatt, we have either brought a cooler of food, or we stop by the small market just off the town square and buy cold cuts to make sandwiches.

We ate at the restaurant at the top of the town square when we stayed there once, and it was okay - but nothing special.  We've also stayed at the hotel at the bottom of the town square (the yellow one), and the food was awful, but the view was great.
