Was called as stake president in Sept 2017. Since that time, there has been a stake conference in September every year other than 2020 due to COVID. I have not watched a single second of BYU football each week of those stake conferences as there were actual sessions happening or sessions to continue to prepare for.

BYU is undefeated in those games:

2018 @ Wisconsin
2019 @ Tennessee
2021 vs Utah
2022 vs Baylor
2023 vs SUU (wasn’t really worried about this one)

2024 @ SMU on a Friday night is a slight deviation, but it’s also the first time since I’ve been called that the presiding authority will be staying in my home on Friday night.

So I feel pretty good about this week even though I won’t be watching any of it.
