My uncle was one of the actual assistants to the mission president
My uncle was a missionary in Germany. He was one of the assistants to the mission president. I remember being told that they had to escape from the Nazis but not much else. Sadly he passed many years ago. I wish I had heard more of his story. Evidently they didn’t use his real name in the movie. His name was Guy Alexander.

Side note, his parents were married in early August 1917. His dad left for World War I in November 1917. His father and two other soldiers were killed on their way to the war in a train wreck outside of Cotopaxi, Colorado. My uncle was born six months later in May 1918. He was a wonderful man.

Take the time to talk to your older parents grandparents and aunts and uncles about their histories before you can’t.
