and to see who executed the offensive and defensive schemes well and who didn't so the depth chart can be adjusted to better help the team win. The depth played the second half like they would be expected to play in a competitive game.

This is what I hope BYU does if they get a substantial lead because the depth in most position groups have minimal experience at the P4 level.
