Poly names. I can’t believe that a professional announcer doing a nationally televised game doesn’t do their homework and figure out how to pronounce all players names. It’s embarrassing!

I was a PA announcer for small time HS soccer and before the game I would find the visiting coaches and ask how to pronounce all of their players names. And that’s soccer where the only time names were even announced were starting line-ups, substitutions, and goals.
