School proms can a huge cause of angst, drama, and sadness for so many. Don't even get me started on cost as well and the whole day date thing.

Despite what people say, most everybody wants to go to prom. But not every person gets asked or as in the linked thread, can find a good group to go with. So many people sit home on that night and it does truly affect their mental wellness.

I wish proms were a stag event for all. Everybody could still dress up, show up, and have a great time. Maybe even provide a nice buffet dinner at the event as well. Make it easy for everybody to be involved.

But I know the whole date thing will never go away and that is the reality of it.
