BYU’s early bowl games were a big deal. It took more than winning six games to qualify.
I agree that recently with the number of bowl games, it has almost become a participation trophy.
When and where do you draw the line though and say, “Sorry guys. Your bowl didn’t mean enough, so we aren’t going to hang a banner.”
There were great players on all those teams who worked their tails off to get there.
