But in all seriousness, "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em". Maybe there are some semi-pro athletes BYU can lure in as well, both men and women, especially with all the representation BYU had under both Ed and Diljeet at the Olympics this summer. But then again, that kind of showing also speaks to the kind of athletes BYU has already been putting out there. They've been effectively running with pro-level runners as is. And as long as Ed and Diljeet remain the coaches, I imagine that will continue to be the case for both BYU men and women, respectively. I'm hoping the Olympics put BYU under a bigger spotlight among the running community out there and will likely appeal to even more high end running talent to be recruited out there.
