I had a dream Andy Samberg was our quarterback this year. He was pretty good too
In my dream he never went to college so he was old but still eligible.

His signature move was a behind the back pass. He wouldn't just do that for short yardage passes but sometimes 20+ yards downfield passes. Also there wasn't even pressure when he would pass it from behind his back he just liked doing it.

Anyways one game that was a nail biter was Boise State. IDK why they ended up on our schedule. At the end of the game I was in my car listening to Greg Wrubell. It was really loud around me and I couldn't hear the words he was saying just going off his emotions to let me know how the game was going.

Boise state was up by one point and we had a 55 yard field goal attempt to win the game as time expired. As I'm listening I hear sadness so I'm sure we lost but then I hear screaming joy as if we won.

I'm happy of course but confused why the change of emotions as though we had missed at first.

I'm able to go home and watch on replay. Turns out on the kick the ball hits the crossbar and bounces back towards the field of play. Fortunately this is a very weird goal post that has a long music stand like attachment coming out the front of it. The ball hits this music stand and soars high into the air. The ball then barely lands just past the crossbar this time. Kick is good we win.

This must have happened in super slow motion for the radio reaction to be sad for a couple seconds before turning into cheering. Jonny Linehan was the kicker by the way so if he can find some eligibility and wants to switch from punting that would be cool.

Anyways Andy Samberg was able to get lots of high profile recruits to come play for BYU and we became a powerhouse.

So long story short I interpret this dream as Jake Retzlaff as the starter. BYU will be great and make the playoffs this year where we beat Boise State on a last minute field goal. Also Jake will have a legendary behind the back pass sometime this season.

Go Cougs!!
