If the hogs get the job done, the team will surprise to the upside. If they struggle, the team will struggle. I know that is not the hottest take, but I am looking at that more than anything. Will they be on the same page with each other, can they bring some nasty to create holes for the skill players, can they protect the QB long enough for downfield plays to develop? Can the DL (especially the interior) occupy OL, plug the gaps/stop the run and allow the LBers and DE to make plays, can the DE win their one on ones and create some havoc? I don't really see a significant improvement in overall talent on either line, so hopefully a year of coaching and training will make a difference.

I know most of the talk is about who the starting QB will be, but I think either can manage the game ok. Neither will likely be a game changer. Can they make the easy throw, push the ball downfield occasionally and limit turnovers? I think both JR and GBo can accomplish that. They will do it differently due to their different skillsets, but will likely be able to do ok as a game managers.

If we are hoping that our QB can overcome major deficiencies in the OL, then we are in for a world of hurt on O. We don't have a Taysom Hill or Jaren hall back there to make it all better.
