I wonder if that will motivate expansion to 14 or 16 teams
With 14 or 16 teams, the Big 12 champ as the 3 or 4 seed could get a home game against the 3rd or 4th place B1G or SEC team. That would be a more winnable game than the 2nd place B1G or SEC team at a neutral site and create momentum going into the quarterfinals.
