For how long after you buy a home do you try to get mail to the former owner?
We closed on our house two months ago and still get lots of mail and even some packages for the previous owner. They haven’t updated anything with their new address or forwarded their mail with USPS.

We have just been contacting their realtor every couple weeks to let them know it’s piling up again and they need to come get it, and to ask them to please get their address changed. They still haven’t done it.

I don’t feel comfortable just tossing it because it’s important stuff like bills and bank statements and several boxes from Amazon… but I also am tired of dealing with it, especially since they won’t.

Is there a form I can fill out to have USPS track down where they live and forward their mail to them? Or can I have all their mail auto return to sender? It’s so weird to me that they won’t forward their mail… I’m not really sure what to do.
