Even LaVell knew early in his career to cut ties with coaches if it wasn't
working out (see Wally English in 1978).
It's frustrating that Kalani put his personal relationships over the well being of the program. That's where he lost most of us.
Kalani defenders will say he's "loyal to a fault" but Kalani still has a fiduciary responsibility to his employer to produce positive results.
