1) Lack of team preparation with extra time to prepare prior to the game (see TCU last year after bye week, UAB bowl game, etc.)

2) Not just one, but multiple instances of the team being called for “illegal touching” penalties with receivers & tight ends lining up incorrectly (name another college team that had this repeated issue)

3) Not knowing rules for timeout usage and getting burned on it in a game

4) Not providing your team the correct cleats at home for the field conditions and then not making any adjustments once the issue was critical on the field. All the while, the visiting team has NO issues.

5) Inexplicable losses to Liberty, ECU, UMASS

6) Holding on to terrible coaches/friends way too long

7) Poor recruiting of critical position groups (DL, QB)
