I understand why they don't want to do it. They don't want to cause issues in
locker room pertaining to NIL. They also don't want to put an 18 year old kid in a bad situation caused by NIL profits. I do respect that and I do believe they do it in the best interest of the players. I also like how they have the mentoring programs.

The only thing is I'm not sure if you can compete in a power conference without exceptions, especially at key positions. I think players will understand if there are a few players making higher NIL because they realize that it's needed to compete at a high level. BYU does a great job vetting the players and making sure they are a good fit, so if a player is getting higher NIL it wouldn't be a problem.
