Avengers: Infinity War - a 2018 film directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. In the film, the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy attempt to stop Thanos from collecting the six powerful Infinity Stones as part of his quest to kill half of all life in the universe. It was a massive success--the fourth film and the first superhero film to gross over $2B worldwide--breaking several box office records, and the highest-grossing film of 2018 and the fourth-highest-grossing film at the time of its release both worldwide and in the USA. It was nominated for Best Visual Effects at the 91st Academy Awards, among numerous other accolades. It grossed $2.05B on a $400M budget.

Unbreakable - a 2000 film written, produced, and directed by M. Night Shyamalan. In Unbreakable, David Dunn survives a train crash with no injuries, leading to the realization that he harbors superhuman abilities. As he begins to grapple with this discovery, he comes to the attention of disabled comic book store owner Elijah Price, who manipulates David to understand him. It received generally positive reviews, with praise for the direction, screenplay, performances, cinematography, and the score by James Newton Howard. The film has gained a strong cult following. It is regarded by many as one of Shyamalan's best films and one of the best superhero films. In 2011, Time listed it as one of the top ten superhero films of all time, ranking it number four. In 2009, Quentin Tarantino included it on his list of the top 20 films released since 1992. It grossed $248M on a $75M budget.
