It depends what subset of us you are referring to. It can be either. None isn’t
Always “not one”. It can also carry the connotation of “not any”. Thus if you’re referring to a plural subset it is “are”. Otherwise you’d use “is” for a singular subset.
Generally speaking “is” is the better accepted answer.
