My daughter is entering her senior year. I want to keep her expectations realistic, but have no idea where to start in terms of what's reasonable. When I graduated from high school, my dad asked me what I wanted and I said I wanted a set of hardcover copies of the classics from Barnes and Noble. It was probably less than $200. I still have them and have carted them around with me everywhere I've moved. I think my daughter wants more of a trip than a gift, which is fine to some degree.
