I've once heard the PCT described as follows:
1. Desert (Southern California)
2. Snow (High Sierras)
3. Mosquitoes (Central Sierras)
4. Burn scars (Northern California and Oregon)
5. Rain (Washington)

Looks like some nice flat trail, outside of the blow down/burn areas. Making miles should be relatively easy here, no?

Miles are definitely coming easier since exiting the Sierras. I'm back up to 25 - 30 per day on non town days.
