Maintain the facilities, keep using them for other championships, etc.
Then they don’t need to find locations that require billions of dollars of infrastructure support and development every time.
Then every fourth or fifth Olympics, find another location that might be interested.
I know their goal is to expand those sports, but everyone is catching on that it’s not worth the taxpayer burden. They need to strengthen the sports in a few central areas where the communities are supportive and where the facilities would be used regularly enough to make it worth building, maintaining, and upgrading facilities
Even the Summer Olympics should rotate among 8 hosts or something. In my opinion.
