His mom had him at 16. His dad was a criminal and not involved in his life at all, so he was raised by a single teen mom. Through hard work and dedication, he was dubbed “the Chosen One” and had enormous expectations put on him at 16 years old to become the next Michael Jordan. Anything less than a Hall of Fame career would be a disappointment.

He exceed all those expectations. There is a legitimate debate between him and MJ as the GOAT. Even if you think MJ is better, he became a top 5 NBA player of all time.

Now, instead of taking an offseason after his 21st year, he’s representing his country. It’s a pretty remarkable story, tbh. Not sure why you’re upset about it, other than the fact that he votes differently than you.
