There was a box in the car, but if you left it closed it wouldn’t register

No more toll booths in NY,not sure about NJ,but I think they did away with them as well.

Here in California, they will just send you an invoice in the mail based on the

I've heard this is what they do, but the rental car company adds on a fee for handling it.

Many of them have an EZ pass attached to the rental and will add it on the end.
