TNT has posted about this before. This is X-Wing Alliance which was the successor to the highly successful LucasArts X-Wing and Tie Fighter games PC games from the early 1990s. X-Wing Alliance was released around 1998. Soon after the X-Wing Alliance Upgrade Project was started by some modders to improve the graphics and capabilities of the game. This team that has been working on the game ever since then. They continue to increase the capabilities of the 25-year old engine. They released a new version a couple of weeks ago. What they have done is staggering. The game is great. It is essentially a simulator game of fighter combat that you saw in the original Star Wars films. You can find X-Wing Alliance on Steam or Good Old Games for cheap. And then the X-Wing Alliance Upgrade website for the mod. It's a blast. They are planning on doing the same update for Tie Fighter that they are working on the 2024 version of.
