it’s crazy that we allow so much bias into ranking. Ole Miss will start the season top 10. Without looking at their schedule I’ll pretend they play on good preseason game and start 3-0. (I really don’t know who they play)
So they stay top 10. They get into conference and play other SEC teams. Assume the go 1-2 in the first 3 games in conference. Those opponents get the benefits of beating a top 10 team. At least 2 of them most likely. They get bumped up. They get ranked. 5-6 games into the season and this projected ranking inflates everything.
