If BYU had beaten Hawaii in 1990, would they have still gone to the Holiday Bowl that year?
I know Georgia Tech & Colorado (boy did they need help… 5th down vs Mizzou and iffy holding penalty vs ND in Orange Bowl) tied for the NC so I don’t think BYU would have beat out either of those teams unless they had been invited to (and won) a much better bowl.
