Someone I know receives a medication delivered periodically from a Pharmacy. It's pricey. But due to insurance, it costs us very little.

They'll be in Italy for an extended period. During that time, they'll need to receive the medication, but the exclusive pharmacy ("can't use anyone else") doesn't send to Europe.

Anyone been in this situation and have advice?

I'm going to contact the insurer and/or the drug company (has a discount program), but figured it wouldn't hurt to ask CB (in case it helps avoid some pitfall).

I know that meds are generally cheaper in Europe. But I have no idea if they'd be able to get an Italian doctor to make it happen, and even if relatively cheap, the drug is $$$.
