They were vetted and cleared to join the B1G, just needed to get through the legal hurdles. That isn't close to the same for FSU. Relationships matter and FSU needed to come in light as a feather, but chose to come in swinging a sledgehammer around. I don't think any B1G Presidents are on board for FSU and they aren't going to stretch their necks out for a fringe candidate that isn't even AAU.
