We’ve had share IDs since like 2009
Thought it was the only way to do it back then. Just recently got everyone on their own ID, including kids.
Yeah, should’ve done this a long time ago.

You don’t need to share an AppleId to share photos & apps. You can accomplish everything you are doing on a family plan

Finally did it because we added our next kid and it started messing up every one’s settings. So, was finally motivated

Everyone with their own Apple ID. My wife and I use my Apple ID for the App Store. Otherwise she uses her own appleid.
