Sadly, a lot of time it's tourists who are probably viewing it as a bucket list
event, knowing the might never come back. Summer is their only time to travel. Lastly, with all the modern amenities that we enjoy I think people truly forget the limitations of the human body against the elements. They've never been but a block away from a 7/11.
