It isn't... however, a 6K machine is maybe $20 less than a 12k right now.
.. but the 12k machines are built better (more solid) have better screens (less light bleed) and dozens of other features.
My Mono 6k (first gen) is still cranking out prints day and night (i sell on ebay/etsy).. But the 12k machine is now only $10 more... Kind of hard not to buy the 12k.
