And even if AAU is a big sticking point, Utah is still way down the list, behind the top academic ACC schools like UNC, Virginia, Duke, Miami, Stanford, etc. Not to mention they'd be duking it out with B12 AAU schools like Kansas, CU, UA, etc.

That's without even getting into the hurdle of being profitable for a conference that's paying out $80m per school per year. There's a reason why the only people who ever talk about Utah to the B1G are Ute fans.
