If I want to get rid of a lot of books, where's the best place to get rid of them? Considering just throwing them in the trash. I'm giving my house and garage a thorough cleaning, will probably rent a roll-off dumpster to throw stuff away.

Some stuff is new, some of it is useful. Shop tools, books, long-sleeved shirts that have never been worn etc.. I just don't want it anymore and dont want to spend time organizing it.
