If he's hearing things, it's very likely coming from UA sources.
So this tells us that the B12 is going hard at FSU and Clemson, not necessarily that there's any reciprocal interest. But maybe the B12 believes that FSU and Clemson can't/won't get a P2 invite? Short of offering double shares or something ridiculous, that seems to be the only way they end up in the B12.
